Sipho Congolo (now Grade 12) won awards on regional and national level at the Escom Expo for Young Sientists. The Grassland Society of Southern Africa made the awards for the best ecological project in August and October last year.  During assembly today the framed certificate and medal was presented again to Sipho in recognition of his excellent initiative. Sipho's team's project was titled "Taming the Lantana Monster" and was about managing invasive alien plants.  Sipho entered for the expo at the University of Pretoria.
