Children's Homes

Family

South Africa is experiencing an explosion in numbers of orphans and other destitute children, creating an ever growing need for care (including education) for these children at risk.

Tshwane Children's Homes is a state registered Section 21 Company (non-profit), also registered with the Department of Social Services as a Public Benefit Organisation, established in 1998 to address the need for inclusive care of the many orphans and destitute children in our target area. Children living as families in these homes receive their education at Tshwane Christian School.

If required, further vocational training and skills training is offered by Tshwane Skills Training Centre. Those who complete their studies at the school, are supported to enter institutions of higher learning.

Two homes are in operation, accommodating a total of eight children.

Staff:

  • Board of Directors
  • Pastor and Mrs. Mathibela (House parents)
  • Mrs. Mokoena
  • Teachers of the school

Further expansion and intake of such children is envisaged, dependent on financial resources.
