The Grade 8 learners received pocket Bibles from the Gideons International SA.  The pocket Bible contains the New Testament and Psalms.  The Gideons International is an interdenominational association of Christian business and professional men who are members of Protestant/evangelical churches. Its mission is to save the lost through personal witnessing and the distribution of God's Word in 190 countries around the world.  Bibles are placed in hotels, hospitals, doctors' consulting rooms and prisons or police cells, and handed out to school pupils, teachers, soldiers, policemen and nurses.
