Tshwane Christian School is an independent Christian school in operation since 1992 – registered with the Department of Education. It has Section 18A (tax exempt) and NPO (not for profit) status.

  • To provide Christian support to parents in the training up of their children by providing quality Christian educational facilities and programmes/ which will assist in producing effective Kingdom citizens
  • To equip future Christian leaders to serve the country in all fields

Student Leaders

  • Children are registered when they turn four-and-a-half years. The vast majority come from homes where they receive very little (if any) input to prepare them for formal schooling.
  • They have their own activity room and secure playground
  • A program designed to prepare them spiritually, physically and emotionally to function in a formal school environment, is followed
  • Children are registered in this phase on turning five-and-a-half years. The curriculum followed is designed to prepare and provide them with a head start on their journey to formal schooling. Class groups are restricted to 20 learners per class to accommodate individual attention. The first steps toward literacy and numeracy are taken
  • Educational excursions
  • Learner registration takes place from six-and-a-half years of age.
  • Learner formal schooling following the National Curriculum Statement (CAPS). Excellent results in international bench marking tests (Conquesta; Amesa Maths). Solid foundations are laid for a successful school career. The emphasis is on learning and life skills.
  • Twenty five learners per class group (maximum). A full program of extra mural activities. Inter house and inter school competitions
  • Educational excursions
  • Introduction to computers
  • Introduction of the various subjects which will lead them to the National Senior Certificate Examinations (NCS)
  • Small classes – 25 maximum per class
  • New registrations – diagnostic tests and remedial action where necessary
  • Computer literacy offered
  • Provincial spelling Bee
  • Excellent results in the Annual National Assessment of the Department
  • Benchmarking test – Amesa Maths and Conquesta
  • Extra mural activities. Inter house and inter school competitions
  • Educational excursions
  • Maximum of 25 learners per class
  • Annual induction camp for grade 8 learners
  • Bench marking test (international)
  • Diagnostic test in Maths and English for all. Remedial action where required Standardized aptitude test to assist grade 9 learners in their subject choices for the FET phase
  • Computer literacy
  • Speech and debating inter school
  • Extra classes in Maths and English
  • Extra curricular activities. Inter house and inter school competitions
  • Inter school debating and speech competitions
  • Run up to the NSC examination (Umalusi certified).
  • NSC exams annually since 1999. Excellent results with the majority of students achieving a “degree pass” which qualifies them for entrance into universities
  • Participation in national Olympiads – Math; Physical Science; Life Sciences; Accounting; Computer application Technology (CAT)
  • CAT a compulsory subject for all students
  • Annual “Valentine” outreach to the children’s ward of George Mukhari hospital (Garankuwa)
  • Blood donation drives
  • Extramural activities with inter house and inter school competitions
  • Debating and speech festivals (inter school)
  • Servant leaders’ (prefects’) camp
  • Ex students presently registering their children to start the journey at TCS!

Grade 00
Preschool
